Who Is Tiny Voice Teacher?

Hi, I’m Kate—a voice coach, performer, and big believer that your voice deserves to take up space.

I’m based in Philly with my partner and our very cute dog, and I spend my days helping people find voices that actually feel like them. Before this, I taught public school in the Boston area for five years, then went on to get my Master’s in Voice Pedagogy (with a focus on contemporary styles), which is a fancy way of saying I’m both a voice nerd and your biggest hype person.

I studied Music Education at Berklee, where I got to perform all over the country (including stages like Carnegie Hall and Boston Symphony Hall), and somewhere along the way I fell in love with not just performing—but helping other people unlock that same confidence. Now I teach Musical Theater voice at Shenandoah and Temple, and also work one-on-one with singers of all backgrounds.

A lot of my work centers around gender-affirming voice training and creating supportive, affirming spaces—especially for LGBTQ+ singers. I’ve also been involved in research on how COVID-19 impacted singers, because again… voice nerd.

My studio isn’t about perfection. It’s about figuring yourself out. It’s about cracking, trying again, laughing, getting a little chaotic, and then suddenly hitting something that feels right. I want this to be a space where you feel safe to explore, supported no matter where you’re starting, and genuinely excited to use your voice.

Lets make some noise, figure some things out, and have a good time doing it.
